This easy tutorial show how to draw a plant pot with a small plant in it in six steps. It includes simple examples and quick instructions.

The main focus of the tutorial is on drawing the pot so the plant will be fairly small and simple.

Start the tutorial in pencil and make light lines that are easy to erase in case you make a mistake.

You can darken them later on with a black pen or marker.

Step 1 – Draw the Top of the Plant Pot

First draw the top of the pot.

This should be shaped like a long rectangle with rounded corners. If you wish you can make the line that defines it’s bottom very lightly curved.

Step 2 – Draw the Sides

Going down from the top add the sides.

Draw these as a pair of straight lines angled towards the center of the pot.

Step 3 – Draw the Bottom

Connect the two lines that define the sides with a smooth curve to get the bottom of the pot.
