New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender, offers its customers the facility of National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) for the transfer of money.
One can use this method through mobile banking, net banking and by visiting a branch as well. In case you do not have a bank account, you can still carry out the transaction by visiting an NEFT-enabled branch.
From December 16, the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system is available on a 24x7 basis.
This means that one can now transfer money using this method at any time of the day.
In July this year, SBI had waived the charges on NEFT and RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) transactions after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) decided to do away with the charges with a motive to push digital transactions.
